The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL is seeking a Bartender. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. Our commitment to people and our vision for the future, combined with our history of success spanning decades, makes Sherman Associates who we are today. With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space.
The Bartender position plays a major role in the hotel’s Food & Beverage experience. The Spirit to Serve is a key element in a positive experience. Consistency is critical, which is achieved by always following drink recipes. Bartender must be friendly, courteous, and serve others in a professional manner. Must be able to multi-task, think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.
Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both evenings and weekends.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to pass required Alcohol service training.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
  • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains complete knowledge of hotel’s food and beverage preparation.
  • Up-sells alcohol and food items.
  • Uses a computer to accurately ring orders on a check.
  • Accepts different types of payment and makes accurate change.
  • Completes specific side-work and ensures the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Quickly clears and resets tables.
  • Maintains inventory of bar materials including, but not limited to: wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • Refuses to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
  • Observes behavior, counts number of drinks served that contain alcohol, elevates to manager for intervention as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Food Handlers guidelines.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.
