OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Banquet Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of banquet events, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and meet our high standards of service.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management, preferably in a fine dining or casual dining setting.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and catering services.
  • Background in hospitality management with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Experience in supervising teams, including training & development of staff members.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes related to food production and event planning.
  • Previous banquet experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of barista or coffee service if applicable.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise banquet staff during events to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage inventory control for banquet supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
  • Train and develop staff on best practices in food handling, customer service, and event execution.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring processes for banquet staff.
  • Oversee shift management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during events.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with event planners to customize menus and service styles based on client needs.
  • Provide leadership in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive team atmosphere.
