JOB SUMMARY

Island Culinary Service is looking for a banquet captain to join our team. This position plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of events. We are seeking an individual who is organized and has good communication skills, whether it be with their team, kitchen staff or clients. Our banquet captain can enjoy the variety of catering options we provide from wedding, C.O.L’s, cocktail parties, barbecues, prepackaged meals etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong leadership skills with prior experience in team management or supervising roles.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Bring positivity to their team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for event execution.
  • Flexible availability which can include early morning, evenings and weekends.
  • Be able to work alone and have good time management.
  • Some heavy lifting will be required.
  • Drivers license a must( no vehicle required as we have company vehicles for events)
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $17.85-$25.66 per hour
    Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Responsibilities
  • Oversee banquet operations with exceptional service and ensure all events run smoothly from setup to breakdown.
  • Lead and manage a team of servers, and kitchen staff during events.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Work with other captains and management to ensure outstanding teamwork and service.
  • Organize and maintain cleaniness of F.O.H areas
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.
