Description We are currently seeking an extraordinary Banquet professional to lead our banquet efforts in the role of Banquet Captain. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel meeting's food and beverage service. You will assist in managing the entire banquet staff to ensure high-quality execution of receptions, meetings, and events. This position may require flexible scheduling availability. Requirements Job Requirements: Analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) Effectively communicate with customers, managers, and associates to ensure that all room set-ups, equipment, and supplies, staffing and menus meet/exceed customer's expectations Attend BEO meetings Conduct monthly departmental meetings and pre-shift meetings with staff to go over functions, procedures, and assignments Assemble the banquet service before mealtime and disassemble it thereafter Ensure the banquet service space remains well-stocked at all times Receive beverage orders and direct these to the kitchen as needed Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each meal service Coordinate quality of food service between cooking staff and floor staff Job Qualifications: Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary Ability to anticipate the needs of the guests and acknowledge their requests Ability to work well in stressful situations Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service Ability to help validate customers ' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
