ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Banquet Captain is responsible for supervising banquet events, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high guest satisfaction. They work closely with the Banquet Operations Manager and Banquet Leads to execute events efficiently. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing banquet staff, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal labor laws, including Colorado wage and hour regulations. Essential Duties: Supervise banquet servers during events Ensure all event details are executed per client requests Supervise, train, and monitor banquet staff performance and provide guidance to ensure efficient and professional service. Work in cooperation with Sr. F&B Manager and Banquet Operations Manager to ensure compliance with Colorado labor laws, including proper rest and meal breaks, overtime regulations, and wage transparency requirements. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food presentation and timing meet established standards. Monitor banquet setup and breakdown, ensuring accuracy in table settings, décor, and AV equipment. Ensure all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations are adhered to in compliance with Colorado state laws. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years of banquet or hospitality with leadership experience. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of Colorado wage laws, liquor service regulations, and health department standards. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
