POSITION OVERVIEW:

At Rusty Pelican Tampa, our Banquet Captain plays a pivotal role in executing seamless private events and delivering a 5-star guest experience. This leadership position oversees banquet staff, ensuring exceptional service for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations in our stunning waterfront venue.
As a Banquet Captain, you will lead by example, coordinating event setups, managing service flow, and ensuring all details align with client expectations. You will work closely with the banquet team to maintain high standards of hospitality, efficiency, and professionalism. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, service-driven leader with a passion for hospitality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of banquet and event planning processes.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
