Description The Banquet Captain will assist the banquet manager and chef with various events, supervision of events, and provide high standards of service of food to groups throughout service venues at Nook Sports. Discounts at participating local restaurants and businesses Essential Job Functions Assist in the set-up of banquet equipment Maintain appearance standards of the events Greet guests that are being serviced at the food station Maintain portion control during events Serve food and beverages in appropriate timeframe Supervise servers to ensure quality service Check all stations and room prior to event All other duties as assigned Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license Reliable and steady transportation to and from work Authorized to work in the United States Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed Six months of banquet serving experience Previous experience directly supervising employees Experience serving covered and uncovered food trays Brings integrity to every interaction, takes initiative to jump in where needed, lifts up teammates to win together, and creates an environment where positivity and kindness shape every guest experience.
