Description

Fine dining midtown restaurant is seeking a banquet captain with experience taking care of larger groups. We are seeking individuals with outstanding hospitality, a positive attitude, a great work ethic, and with flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 3 years’ experience working in a NYC fine dining atmosphere with strong food and beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
  • Communicates directly with guests and provide the necessary service, elevating issues and questions to the event management team as needed.
  • Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
  • Assists in the setup, breakdown, and daily upkeep of multiple event spaces.
  • Works in conjunction with the management team to ensure standards of service are being upheld by all members of the staff.

Pay is hourly, at $11/hr. plus tips. This is an on-call position and schedule will be on a week-by-week basis.
This position may require standing for extended periods of time as well as lifting/moving items up to 40 lbs.
