Key Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the preparation, execution, and presentation of all banquet and catering events, ensuring quality and consistency. Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage and Events teams to create exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations. Plan, prepare, and execute all banquet menus with a focus on quality, presentation, and efficiency. Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and plating for all banquet dishes. Oversee the preparation and execution of events, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Lead, train, and motivate a team of banquet cooks and kitchen staff. Assign duties and supervise food preparation to maintain the highest standards. Checks the quality and inventory of food products to ensure that standards are met. Develops, designs and creates new menus, ideas, relationships, systems, or products. Ensure that everyone follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products. Manages Banquet Events Orders (BEO’s) process including menu development, pricing, tracking and ordering. Knows and implements the brand's safety standards. Ensures employees compliance and maintain required food handling and sanitation certifications. (Health & Safety.) Establishes guidelines so employees understand expectations and parameters. Ensures employees receive on-going training to understand guest expectations. Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions. Completes safety training and certifications. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team in reaching common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by his/her supervisor. Qualifications Hospitality oriented 4 -6 years' experience in a supervisory role as chef in a high volume, multioutlet hotel, banquets experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift-up to 60 pounds. Must have computer skills (Microsoft Office etc.) Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
