We are looking for an experienced Banquet Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for large events, ensuring that all food is cooked to the highest standards and served in a timely manner. The Banquet Cook must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will also have experience in menu planning and cost control.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with other cooks to ensure all dishes are prepared correctly and on time.
  • Ensure all food is stored properly and at the correct temperature.
  • Ensure all dishes are presented in an attractive manner.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
