Position Overview: As a Banquet Cook at Edgewood Tahoe Resort you will be a key member of our culinary team. Your responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of high-quality ingredients, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. This is perfect for individuals passionate about fine dining and eager to grow within a luxury hospitality environment.   Key Responsibilities: * Prepare basic components of dishes, such as sauces, dressings, and garnishes, under the guidance of senior chefs. * Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions. * Monitor ingredient levels, assist in inventory checks, and ensure proper storage and labeling of food items. * Follow precise culinary instructions to prepare mise en place for daily service. * Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and seamless meal preparation. * Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality, notifying supervisors of any inconsistencies. * Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Follow resort and kitchen policies, including safety protocols and waste reduction initiatives. * Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food handling in compliance with health and safety regulations. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business. Qualifications and Skills: * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Previous experience in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end resort kitchen is preferred. * Knowledge of kitchen equipment, knife skills, and food safety practices. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and a passion for culinary excellence. * Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs. * Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
