What you would do:

  • Liaise with Catering department regarding menu planning and client requests
  • Prepare food for client tasting
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
  • Set up stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with colleagues
  • Follow the direction and guidance of the Banquet Chef and Executive Chef
  • Clean up your workstation and follow company standards with regards to left over food
  • Stock inventory
  • Ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standard of quality
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with our guests and your fellow team members

What you need:

  • A passion for what you do. You truly care about the product you are producing and are proud to serve it to any of our guests.

  • Proven experience as a buffet or line cook working with Indian cuisine
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
