EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum one year of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or hotel
  • Food Safety Course is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling in required
  • Must have a high level of creativity and reliability and attention to detail
  • Excellent work ethic; driven, organized, good administration skills, dependable, flexible, availability to pick up or volunteer for shifts as required to maintain operational requirements
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and oral
  • As a condition of employment, associates are to have a criminal record check prior to their first day of work

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets, buffets, and special events according to event orders and menu specifications.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Assist in carving stations and live cooking demonstrations if required.
  • Adjust recipes and food quantities based on event size and dietary requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to execute large-scale meal preparation efficiently.
  • Assist with plating and setting up banquet buffets or plated meal services.
  • Support other cooks and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
