Role Description

The Banquet & Event Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for planning and coordinating banquets, meetings, and special events within the hotel. This role involves managing event logistics from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, including preparing proposals, arranging set-ups, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and ensuring all technical and décor requirements are met. The coordinator will liaise closely with clients to understand their needs, provide detailed event timelines, and maintain clear communication throughout the process to ensure a seamless guest experience. Daily tasks include handling event bookings, preparing function sheets, conducting site inspections, monitoring event execution, and resolving issues promptly. The role also supports sales initiatives by upselling event services, maintaining relationships with corporate and leisure clients, and contributing to revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Event Planning and Event Management skills, including coordinating multiple events, timelines, and resources.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences and handling feedback professionally.
  • Candidates should possess Sales skills, including the ability to upsell banquet services, prepare proposals, and support revenue generation.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, or events coordination is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under time pressure and manage shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in basic office software and event management or property management systems is beneficial.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Events, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
