We are hiring a Banquet Houseman to join the events team at a polished, high-end hotel property in Buckhead, Atlanta a thriving district known for its upscale energy and prime location. As a Banquet Houseman, you’ll ensure that all event spaces are set, maintained, and broken down with precision and efficiency directly supporting the success of weddings, meetings, galas, and more.

BANQUET HOUSEMAN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in banquet, event setup, or a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including tables, chairs, and equipment, safely and efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding service and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other required items.
  • Ensure proper placement and functionality of audiovisual equipment, podiums, and staging as requested.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet areas, ensuring they meet high standards.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service to event organizers and guests, addressing their needs promptly.
  • Assist servers and bartenders during events by replenishing supplies, clearing tables, and addressing guest needs.
  • Provide support to banquet servers and captains as needed during events.
  • Break down and reset banquet spaces following events, preparing them for the next function.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of banquet equipment and supplies, reporting any shortages or damages to management.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while handling heavy equipment or setting up staging.
  • Respond to last-minute changes or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain awareness of safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
