Job Summary:
The Banquet Lead is responsible for supporting the Event Manager in ensuring the successful execution of banquet and catering events. This role involves supervising banquet staff, assisting with event logistics, and delivering exceptional customer service to clients and guests. You must possess leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Event Manager to understand event requirements and preferences.
  • Assist with event setup, ensuring that tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and equipment are properly arranged.
  • Help the Manager keep team motivated and productive
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food and beverage service.
  • Supervise and train banquet servers, bartenders, and other event staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
  • Acts as host and guest contact in the absence of the Event Manager
  • Greet clients and guests upon arrival and address any immediate needs or concerns.
  • Ensure a high level of service throughout the event, including food and beverage service.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are served at the correct temperature and in accordance with established standards.
  • Monitor the presentation and appearance of the banquet area, including cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Quickly and effectively resolve any logistical or service-related problems.
  • Work alongside the team throughout the event, including serving, bartending, bussing, ect.
  • Submit event reports and feedback to management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in restaurant, banquet or catering services
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette.
  • Customer-focused and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

Schedule:

  • 8 to 20 hours per week, mainly evenings and weekends
  • Part-Time position, with growth opportunities
