Description Banquet Line Cook Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour We are seeking a skilled and efficient Banquet Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will prepare high-volume meals for events such as weddings, corporate functions, and other large-scale banquets while maintaining food safety and presentation standards. This role requires excellent time management, teamwork, and culinary knowledge. What we would like from you: Prepare and cook menu items for banquet events in accordance with standardized recipes and instructions from the Banquet Chef or Executive Chef. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for service. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools. Ensure food is prepared and served on time, with proper portion control and attractive presentation. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team during event service. Assist with plating for buffet lines or plated dinners as needed. Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures. Assist in breakdown and cleanup after events. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized. Ability to physically handle knives and other sharp, heavy, or potentially dangerous items. Previous banquet or high-volume cooking experience required (1–2 years preferred). Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Proper usage and handling of various kitchen machinery, including slicers, ovens, stoves, grinders, mixers, and other kitchen-related equipment. This position will spend 100% of the time standing. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
