ABOUT US

Hotel Grand Pacific, a proud member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, is located on Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour. With seven meeting rooms and two ballrooms, we provide an exceptional setting for events of all types. We are seeking a hands-on, organized leader to guide our Banquets team and oversee operations at our Courtyard Café.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banquet or full-service food operations.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in Banquets.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverages, and wines.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a positive, team-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
  • Advanced knowledge of Squirrel POS.
  • Serving It Right and Food Safe certifications required.
  • Experience in a unionized environment considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee Banquet and Café functions to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead staff in setup and service, assisting as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and coach team members to deliver outstanding service.
  • Manage staff schedules in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
  • Accurately prepare and submit payroll.
  • Oversee monthly inventory and other administrative duties.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
