Description Primary Location: Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center Mintahoe Catering & Events is a leading Twin Cities catering and event partner, serving high-quality venues across the region. We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee event execution at the Heritage Center and occasionally at other Mintahoe serviced venues. About the Venue Heritage Center is a premier historic venue with seven event spaces, outdoor courtyards, and capacities ranging from 30 to over 1,000 guests. Clients include corporate, government, nonprofit, and social/wedding events. Role Overview The Banquet Manager ensures exceptional client satisfaction by coordinating all event details between Mintahoe’s team and Heritage Center’s management. This position partners closely with our Director of Operations, Culinary Team, Scheduling, Event Captains, and Heritage Center’s sales and facilities staff. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary Mintahoe liaison with Heritage Center’s sales and management teams. Review event contracts, confirm details, and collaborate with clients and venue staff to finalize plans. Coordinate event execution with culinary, operations, and scheduling teams. Lead and support Event Captains; run pre-event briefings and ensure staff preparedness. Greet clients on-site, confirm event details, and ensure smooth execution through food service. Oversee staff professionalism, training, and performance in accordance with Mintahoe standards. Communicate event changes promptly to all internal departments. Complete detailed post-event reports for management review and continuous improvement. Provide the same level of oversight when assigned to other Mintahoe venues. Requirements Qualifications 3+ years of event, banquet, or hospitality leadership experience. Strong leadership and staff training abilities are important. Excellent communication and client service skills. Highly detail-oriented, observant, and solutions-focused under pressure. Professional demeanor and reliable follow-through. Adequate computer skills for event communication and documentation. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Compensation & Benefits Full-time, hourly position starting at $27/hr.
