The Banquet Manager will oversee banquet operations for all events including weddings, meetings, parties, internal events (such as Mother’s Day , Easter brunch and New Years Eve) and everything in between. Event sizes range from 3-1000 people for a full property buy out and from casual to formal. This position is for you if you… Have at least 3 years prior experience as a Banquet Manager or Assistant Banquet Manager in an upscale hotel environment, with a tenure at each location of at least 2-5 years Are a leader. You will be required to work weekends, holidays, and all kinds of other days as the events schedule demands – But don't worry, we'll make sure you get time to recharge Are ambitious and determined to learn and grow in your career Meticulously organized with a strong work ethic and time management skills Have magical communication skills and work well with others under pressure through all of the last minute unexpected changes that come with the world of events A master of anticipatory service, becoming a hospitality mind reader that can predict the needs of our guests through intuitive cues and “connecting the dots” to elevate the guest experience each and every time What you will do: You will be responsible for overseeing all banquet operations including but not limited to hiring, payroll, scheduling, training, ordering, rentals - as well as inventory, P&L/cost control, coaching and counseling and more You will be responsible for directly supervising all banquet captains, servers, bartenders and housemen/women. You will ensure that all events are executed to standards and that all clients walk away with their expectations exceeded You will work as a true team player with our kitchen, sales, and restaurant teams to ensure all guests are happy and satisfied. You will oversee events for 3 people to 1000 people including weddings, meetings, parties, internal events (such as Mother’s Day , Easter brunch and New Years Eve) and everything in between.
