Position Overview:   The Banquet Manager at Edgewood Tahoe Resort is responsible for the flawless execution of all banquet and event functions at the resort, delivering an elevated and personalized experience that reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality. This role oversees all aspects of banquet operations for weddings, social celebrations, and corporate events, ensuring exceptional service, refined presentation, and seamless coordination across departments.  The ideal candidate is a polished hospitality professional with a passion for luxury service, strong leadership skills, and a meticulous eye for detail.   Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events, including high-end weddings, exclusive social gatherings, and corporate meetings. * Ensure all events are executed according to event orders, client expectations, and brand standards. * Review and communicate detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to all relevant departments. * Participate in event planning meetings and site inspections as needed. * Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews with service teams. * Serve as the on-site host and primary operational contact during events, anticipating guest needs and resolving issues with discretion and professionalism. * Uphold luxury service standards, etiquette, and attention to detail at all times. * Work closely with Event Sales, Culinary, Engineering, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless event execution. * Manage banquet labor costs, staffing levels, and productivity to meet financial objectives. * Monitor inventory, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability and quality. * Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and support staff. * Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence. * Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. * Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in all banquet areas. * Protect guest privacy and confidentiality, particularly for high-profile and exclusive events. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the team and business. Qualifications and Skills: * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Minimum of 3 years of banquet or event management experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment. * Proven experience managing high-end weddings and large-scale social and corporate events. * Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. * Ability to remain composed and polished in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. * Knowledge of luxury service standards, fine dining, and upscale event production. * Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial reporting. * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (ServSafe certification is a plus).   Physical Requirements: * Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs. *  Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
