Banquets brings guests together in one of our spectacular ballrooms, modern boardrooms or an amphitheater under the stars. With a gorgeous private beach, cascading waterfalls, serene gardens, lush lawns and expansive ocean views Fairmont Orchid offers a diverse and dynamic with 110,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space. What you will be doing: Ensure a positive first impression of banquet events for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control. Properly clean and set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and BEOs or as given by banquet management including vacuuming floors and cleaning walls and windows/mirrors. Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, and dance floor lecterns is required. Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies such as linen, pads, pens/pencils and candy, etc. are required. Service every meeting room by emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replace as necessary. Straighten all chairs. Replenish water requirements as specified or requested. On a continuous basis, keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed. Upon customer request, locate and deliver convention material to designated location. Perform other duties as requested, such as moving furniture in and about the hotel. Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic. Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance) Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage (Blue Liquor Card) Valid Driver’s License Additional Information Hourly Rate: $23.67 USD Visa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
