Description Job Title: Banquets and Catering Server Job Code: 542100 Department: Food & Beverage/Banquets Reports to: Banquet Captain/Banquets Manager/Food & Beverage Manager Employment Type: [Full-time / Part-time / On-Call] ________________________________________ Job Summary: Banquets and Catering Servers deliver exceptional service during private events, weddings, corporate functions, and other special occasions. They thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are committed to providing outstanding guest experiences. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Prepare banquet rooms or event spaces according to event orders (tables, linens, place settings, decorations). Greet guests courteously and assist with seating as needed. Serve food and beverages in a timely, efficient, and professional manner during plated, buffet, or cocktail-style events. Refill beverages, clear dishes, and reset tables as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after events. Follow instructions from the Banquet Captain or Event Manager regarding event flow and service expectations. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service. Set up and break down banquet and catering equipment (chafing dishes, beverage stations, etc.). Handle guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. ________________________________________ Qualifications: Previous banquet, catering, or restaurant server experience preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to changing event needs. Comfortable working in a high-paced, dynamic environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. [If applicable] Valid food handler’s or alcohol service certification. ________________________________________ Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry trays, chairs, or equipment up to 40 lbs. Bend, stoop, and reach frequently throughout the shift. Working Conditions: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
