BANQUET SERVER - TAYLOR HOSPITALITY AT THE INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED LEARNING AND RESEARCH

Compensation: $15.00 per Hour
Provides food and beverage services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner; always ensures a positive guest experience.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Exemplifies good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative collaborator.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Proven work experience as a Banquet Server or similar role.
  • Must be professional and courteous to other staff and guests.
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications
    The Banquet Server will collaborate with a team of other servers and catering staff throughout each event and are supervised by a General Manager who sets schedules and oversees the events.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on serving food and beverages to guests,
  • Helps prepare for and clean up after events.
  • Provides prompt and courteous service to all guests.
  • Assists with event preparation, room set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and place settings.
  • Assists with catering staff members as needed, to ensure optimum service for all guests.
  • May direct guests throughout the event.
  • Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Must adhere to safety and quality regulations.
  • Maintain composure in a demanding environment.
