Description:
BANQUET SERVER - TAYLOR HOSPITALITY AT THE INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED LEARNING AND RESEARCH
Compensation: $15.00 per Hour
Provides food and beverage services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner; always ensures a positive guest experience.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills: ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Exemplifies good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative collaborator.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Proven work experience as a Banquet Server or similar role.
- Must be professional and courteous to other staff and guests.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Relevant training and/or certifications
The Banquet Server will collaborate with a team of other servers and catering staff throughout each event and are supervised by a General Manager who sets schedules and oversees the events.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on serving food and beverages to guests,
- Helps prepare for and clean up after events.
- Provides prompt and courteous service to all guests.
- Assists with event preparation, room set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and place settings.
- Assists with catering staff members as needed, to ensure optimum service for all guests.
- May direct guests throughout the event.
- Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Must adhere to safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain composure in a demanding environment.
