Qualifications

The Banquet Server is responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet functions. This person helps ensure the function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

  • Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Clear communication skills required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
  • Must work well in a team setting
  • Previous banquets experience preferred but not required
  • Food Handlers Certification and TABC Certification required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
