    Job Description

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, and requirements
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
  • Assists in the set up and take down of meeting and function rooms according to requirements in accordance with departmental standards
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items being served
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

Qualifications

  • Previous service experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts (including 5am start times, 4am closing times, Christmas Day and New Years’ Eve) and provide availability to work a minimum of two 8 hour shifts per week of the required minimum 24 hours weekly availability. For one of these shifts you must be available until 2:30am on a weekday (Sunday – Thursday) and the other shift you must be available to work until 4:00am on the weekend (Friday or Saturday)
