Job Details Job Location: Chattanooga, TN 37402 Salary Range: $13.00 - $16.00 Hourly A banquet server at an Embassy Suites job involves setting up and breaking down banquet rooms, serving food and drinks, responding to guest requests, and maintaining a clean and professional environment. Key duties include arranging tables and place settings, clearing tables, and assisting with all stages of event preparation and clean-up. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to stand and lift for extended periods. Key responsibilities Event setup: Arranging tables, chairs, linens, and silverware according to event plans and specifications. Service: Delivering and serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner. Guest assistance: Responding to guest questions, complaints, and requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event. Room maintenance: Cleaning and clearing tables during and after service, and preparing the room for the next event. Teamwork: Coordinating with other banquet staff, such as chefs and bartenders, and assisting fellow team members as needed. Side work: Completing various tasks to prepare for events, such as folding napkins and polishing silverware. Qualifications and skills Customer service: Excellent communication and a professional, courteous attitude. Physical ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (often up to 40 pounds), and bend, squat, and push repeatedly.
