Description

Banquet Servers are responsible for setting up and servicing all catering functions, including meetings, banquets, receptions and breakfast/lunch/dinner functions.
They prepare and set tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. During functions they replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. Additionally, they monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests, and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
Banquet Servers are required to communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. During an event they ensure tables are cleared as required, and following banquet events they perform the “tear down” of the function space.
Banquet Servers must possess a Pro-Serve certificate and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience would be preferred, but is not required.
This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift, lower, push, pull, and twist while holding objects up to 10kg, with ease.
We are looking for individuals who will greet guests in a friendly manner, can communicate easily, including listening to guests’ requests and responding appropriately, and have an eye for detail.
