Job Title: Banquet Set-Up Staff

Reports To: Banquet Manager/Event Coordinator
Job Summary: The Banquet Set-Up Staff is responsible for preparing banquet rooms and event spaces according to the specifications of the event. This role involves setting up tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and other event equipment, ensuring the space is clean and organized, and assisting with the breakdown and clean-up after events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in banquet setup, hospitality, or event management is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to follow instructions, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and good communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown.
Responsibilities
  • Room Preparation:
  • Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to the event layout and specifications.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and decorations as directed.
  • Equipment Handling:
  • Set up audio-visual equipment, staging, and other event-related equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Cleanliness and Organization:
  • Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are clean and presentable before guests arrive.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the event.
  • Event Support:
  • Assist with last-minute changes and adjustments to the event setup.
  • Provide support to event staff and guests as needed during the event.
  • Breakdown and Clean-Up:
  • Dismantle and store tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment after the event.
  • Clean the event space, ensuring all trash and debris are removed.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain an inventory of banquet and event supplies.
  • Report any shortages or damage to equipment and supplies to the supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while setting up and breaking down events.
  • Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service to event organizers and guests.
  • Address any questions or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
