Description Banquet Staff Lakewood, WA Description Essential Functions Set up and clean banquet rooms and serve banquets. Additional Responsibilities Performs related banquet (dining room) set-up tasks Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating Takes beverage order and serves food in specified station Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal Clears soiled dishes as needed Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and dining room Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room Part-time $16.66 plus service charge Reports to: Banquet Captain Requirements Requirements BANQUET SERVICE EXPERIENCE A PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED Also, our ideal banquet service staff member possesses these qualifications: Interact with members; able to remember members names and faces Knowledge of banquet etiquette preferred but not required Outgoing personality, self-motivated Assess members needs and preferences and make recommendations Stay member focused and nurture an excellent member experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations Thrive in a fast paced environment, able to "think on your feet" Heavy attention to detail Team player/team focused Multitasker Punctuality Longevity and loyalty Desire to learn multiple positions Computer literacy Wine knowledge is a huge plus Positive attitude and excellent communication skills WA State Food Handlers Permit (Or obtained within 1 week of employment) MAST card (or obtained within 1 week of employment) Private club experience a plus! Bartending experience is a huge plus!
