The Club
The Oxford and Cambridge Club is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London. The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiards room and extensive libraries. The Club has nearly 5000 members.
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Banqueting and Events Head Waiter, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. The role is a full-time position having flexibility to work diverse shifts.
The role of the Banqueting and Events Head Waiter is to ensure that all members requirements are met and where possible exceeded. To work with the Food and Beverage Operations Manager to ensure a five-star service is maintained whilst working within the guidelines set by the Club and effectively communicating to all relevant departments.
The Person

Energetic, passionate and ambitious with an extensive knowledge of Banqueting and Events as a Waiter.

  • Previous experience in a similar on high end and large volumes independent restaurants.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Excellent personal organisation and drive to get things right first time

Main Duties

  • Responsible for the provision of food and beverage services to Members in the restaurant and the management of the staff.
  • To ensure the general smooth running of the restaurants in line with the Club standard and the SOP manual.
  • To ensure the provision of quality food and beverage service to the standards expected by the Club.
  • · To ensure all food and liquor is served to the standard expected of the Club.
  • To be constantly aware of member’s needs, scan the room and strive to create the right environment.
  • To ensure that all hygiene practices are adhered to and in accordance with current Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in partnership with all concerned.
