Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Banquet Supervisors lead the team of Banquet Servers in set-up, break down and service of all Banquet functions. This is a hands on role, working with the team, and in constant liaison with both onsite and external Event planners, in order to produce the most incredible events.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Train, evaluate, lead, motivate.
  • Coach all employees in the Hotel’s banqueting operation to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.
  • You will need to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • You should be able to describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
  • Control staffing and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • You will attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and partnership between departments.
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
