As Banquets Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our banquet and event spaces including restaurant, bar, function rooms, lobby and pier. You’ll lead by example on the floor, support your team during peak periods, and ensure every guest interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise banquet operations and assist with event execution
  • Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional service is delivered at all times
  • Support servers and hosts during busy periods to maintain service flow
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all function areas
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to feedback with care and urgency
  • Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to personalise service
  • Ensure all beverages are prepared to standard recipes and cost controls are maintained
  • Conduct regular stock takes and manage bar service equipment
  • Oversee accurate billing and adherence to hotel procedures
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and RSA principles
  • Train and coach team members on service standards and beverage knowledge
  • Maintain weekly cleaning schedules and ensure all mis-en-place is completed before service
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement

About You

  • Experience in banquet supervision preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and cost control
  • Familiar with liquor licensing laws and RSA certified
  • Financially savvy with an understanding of inventory and expenses
  • Calm under pressure with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
