Are you looking for a part time/weekend job? We are looking for hardworking, dedicated staff members to join our team working as bar and floor staff.
Nene Valley Bar and Kitchen, facilitate and host private parties, weddings and events for up to 120 guests. We are looking for candidates with a good work ethos who are able to work in a busy environment, have a can do attitude and passionate to join our friendly team. The role is part time Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with potential for overtime on weekdays.
Experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided. You must be over the age of 18 years age due to serving alcohol & keyholder. On the job training will be continuous depending on level of experience. We will also provide you with a level 2 food hygiene qualification if you do not have one already.
We are looking for someone who loves a challenge, can multi-task, who is energetic and vibrant. The best candidates will have a natural gift for hospitality and a real passion for bar work.
· Welcoming customers, reading, and listening to people to determine beverage preference, making recommendations, and taking drink orders and serving beverages.
· Delivering drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
· Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
· Recording inventory to ensure bar and tables are well stocked.
· Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
· Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards, cleaning tables, operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary, unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places.
· Set up the hall, (tables/chairs) ready for a party as per the customer’s request.
· Help Party organiser with any requests they may have, to make sure the party runs smoothly, and the customers are happy.
· Report any serious incidents to upper management, such as machine failure or broken facilities.
