POSITION OVERVIEW

The Bar and Floor Supervisor will oversee daily front-of-house and bar operations, ensuring seamless service delivery across the restaurant. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to create a refined yet approachable environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, confident in managing a team, and experienced in both bar operations and floor service within a fine dining or premium hospitality setting.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within fine dining or premium hospitality.
  • Bilingual in French and English (preferred), with the ability to engage with both local and international guests.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, and French-inspired cuisine.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Valid RSA certification (NSW)
Responsibilities

Floor Operations

  • Supervise daily dining floor operations to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Lead and motivate FOH team members, ensuring high standards of service and presentation.
  • Support and train waitstaff in guest service etiquette, upselling techniques, and menu knowledge.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure dining areas are set, maintained, and presented to luxury standards.

Bar Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of the bar, including beverage preparation, stock management, and compliance.
  • Ensure cocktail, wine, and beverage service meets venue standards.
  • Work closely with the Venue Manager on seasonal beverage menus and pairing recommendations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimise wastage.
  • Train bar staff in mixology, wine service, and responsible alcohol service.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Supervise and roster FOH and bar staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Uphold RSA, WHS, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily priorities, specials, and service expectations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of new staff.
