JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our Small team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibilities will include managing front desk operations, assisting customers, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Due to our rural location the ability to commute without the need for public transport is essential.
Permanent position with weekday, evenings and weekend working is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for bookings and reservations; familiarity with hospitality software is an advantage.

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Manage reservations and bookings efficiently, handling any changes or cancellations as required.
  • Answer queries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate information about services and facilities.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area to create an inviting environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and a positive attitude, escalating when necessary.
  • Support administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and inventory management.
