About the Role: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are confident and possess a common-sense approach to their work. As a team member, your duties will include welcoming and looking after our guests, serving a wide variety of drinks (including hot beverages), cooking and preparing hot food safely and efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the venue, including restrooms. This role requires you to multitask effectively, often managing several responsibilities simultaneously, and you may sometimes work alone, carrying out all these tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities: Our venue is known for its busy, high-energy atmosphere. You must be proactive in customer care, ensuring our guests have a great experience while maintaining a safe and calm environment. This job can be demanding, requiring you to stay organized and composed under pressure. You will need to quickly learn our extensive drink selection, understand proper glassware usage and garnishing techniques, and demonstrate barista skills. Managing high demand calmly and efficiently while adhering to safe food handling practices is crucial. Additionally, keeping all areas clean and sanitary throughout your shift is a key part of the role, requiring constant attention and diligence.
Requirements: Ideally, you will have at least 6 months of experience working behind a bar and a genuine interest in customer service. Knowledge of sports is a plus to enhance our sports bar atmosphere, and while being a personal licence holder is desirable, it is not essential. You must be 18 or over and able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends (shifts range from 5.5 to 7.75 hours). We expect you to complete our comprehensive online training and development program, which will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this challenging environment.
