PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND OPERATIONS

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages: Efficiently prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring proper techniques and presentation standards are followed.
  • Maintain Stock and Supplies: Monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and inform management of shortages to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
  • Advise on Drink Selection: Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers about drink options, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, to enhance their experience.
  • Ensure Bar Cleanliness and Compliance: Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times.

We are a family run, privately owned organisation founded in 1969 by the Bannister family, who are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The main aim of the role is to manage the bar service to a consistently high standard, ensuring that the bar staff provide an excellent service which exceeds customer expectations.

PAYMENT ACCOUNTABILITY AND BUSINESS IMPACT

  • Accurate Payments: Ensure 100% of tabs are closed, whether paid directly or posted to room charges, before guests leave.
  • Importance of Payment: Understand that accurate payment handling is essential to the business’s financial success and the validation of your work.
  • Escalation: Report any payment issues immediately to your supervisor to ensure swift resolution.
