THE ROLE:

Want to be part of the late-night energy at one of Whistler’s busiest nightlife spots? Moe Joe’s is looking for Barbacks and Bussers. This behind-the-scenes role is all about hustle—stocking, cleaning, resetting tables, and supporting our bartenders and servers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love music, and don’t mind late nights, we want you on the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Stocking and Restocking Supplies: Refill liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and ice. Restock glassware, napkins, straws, and other bar essentials. Ensure backup stock is accessible and organized.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and sanitary. Wash and polish glassware. Wipe down counters, sinks, and equipment. Empty trash and recycling regularly.
  • Supporting Bartenders: Retrieve ingredients and supplies on request. Pre-slice garnishes (lemons, limes, cherries, etc.). Help set up the bar before opening and clean down after closing. Assist in changing kegs or replacing CO2 tanks for draft beer systems.4. Customer Interaction (Occasionally)
  • Occasionally assist with clearing drinks or serving water. Help run drinks to tables or assist servers during busy periods. Note: Barbacks typically do not mix or serve alcoholic beverages unless permitted by local laws and establishment policy.
  • Inventory Management: Help monitor and record stock levels. Notify bartenders or managers when supplies are running low. Participate in regular inventory checks and restocking
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Follow hygiene standards and safe handling procedures. Keep floors dry and free from tripping hazards. Handle broken glass and spills promptly and safely.
