Job Title:BAR MANAGER
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $ 29.00–$35.00 per hour

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Bar Manager to help lead our team and support day-to-day BAR operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry work experience in similar environment or a level 5 qualification.
  • Have experience managing or supervising people.
  • Current LCQ Certificate.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team and top notch customer service skills
  • Great knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktails
  • Have a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Have confident interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoy building relationships with customers and the people around them

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the smooth daily operations of the bar.
  • Lead, train, and support the bar team to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Implement and promote Food & Beverage promotions and analyze their performance.
  • Ensure cleaning, hygiene, and maintenance of all F&B areas and equipment.
  • Monitor and control costs to contribute to F&B revenue targets.
  • Maintain beverage quality and service standards at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and reports on key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments, including Sales & Marketing, to support events and promotions.
  • Address operational issues, customer complaints, and staff concerns with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ensure safety, security, and compliance with all emergency and health & safety procedures.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff through training and career development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular staff briefings and promote open communication across departments.
  • Monitor staffing strategies to balance cost-effectiveness and service quality.
