SKYVIEW SECURITY is looking for Well experienced and dedicated Bar Security Guards to join our exciting, hard-working, and growing team!
Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License and a Smart Serve certificate.
Must have 2 years of bar/club security experience.

REQUIREMENTS ARE VERY SPECIFIC PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.

These positions require a minimum of 2 year security experience PREFERRED but a combination of experience & education can be considered.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Height 6"ft Minimum
  • Will need to be in black suits, black dress shoes, black ties
  • Clean Appearance
  • Smart Serve MUST
  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Applicants must be able to work all shifts (Nights, Weekends & Rotating Schedules)
    Job Status:  Part-Time, Full-Time, Permanent.
    Hours:
    Tuesday - Sunday
    8pm - 3am.
    Pay Rate:  $17.5 – $20/hour
    The opportunity to engage with people on a regular basis while taking pleasure in preserving the safety and security of our facility is provided by this. People frequently interact with the on-duty security officers when their workday or visit to our site gets underway. We’re searching for a someone with a positive outlook who can effectively represent our company while putting a strong emphasis on security.

Job Duties:

  • Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Patrolling and monitoring designated areas
  • Interacting with the public with a customer service approach to security
  • Enforcing the Trespass to Property Act.
  • Preventing shoplifting by paying attention to the high theft areas
  • Keep an eye out for patrons who may have had too much to drink and offer assistance.
  • Keep and eye on the floor and anticipates the needs of guests and fellow team members
  • Conduct bag checks as required
  • Effectively communicate with team and offer support staff as their needs may require
  • Looking out for instances such as threatening, fraudulent, and rude behaviors by the customers
  • Escalating and assisting law enforcement as required
  • Completing incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • candidates must be comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community
  • Work with minimum supervision and respond quickly
  • Communicate effectively and calmly in a variety of situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Security experience working in the hospitality industry (Bars or Nightclubs an asset)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate.
  • Able to work on the weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and holidays, including late nights.
