JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated & experienced Bar Staff to join our busy & fast paced hospitality & events space at Peppermint Events.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to an enjoyable experience for all patrons. Our venue operates 7 bars across a space with the capacity to hold 3,000 guests. Experience, confidence & speed of service is necessary in this role.
This position requires full availability over the summer months & you must be available at weekends. Shift allocations can be tailored to successful candidates anywhere from 1-4 shifts a week.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a busy bar setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of standard policies such as Challenge 25, Ask for Angela, Weights & Measures Act.
  • Knowledge of bartending techniques and drink preparation including mixology is advantageous.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • A passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Knowledge of beers, wines & Spirits.

  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or issues.
  • Collaborate with bar supervisors & management to ensure an effective service.
  • Provide support to colleagues as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Opening & Closing of bars to company standard.
