JOB SUMMARY:

As a Bar Person at The Village Inn, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and efficient bar, and providing top-notch customer service at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential – full training can be provided.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws.

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and well looked after.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking and cleaning duties.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices.
• Support the wider front-of-house team during busy periods (e.g., taking food orders, serving tables, etc.).
• Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
