Battersea Spanish is a Spanish language school and Spanish & Latin Cultural Centre in Southwest London. We offer Spanish classes for beginners and all other levels, dance classes, including salsa, flamenco, and other Latin rhythms, as well as lessons for kids of all ages. Aside from Spanish and Dance courses, we also run a wide range of bilingual events, including a Spanish Film Night, a Spanish Book Club, live performances, and Spanish Conversation Meetups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Prior experience working in a similar role
  • Must have understanding of food and drink hygiene, reasonable knowledge of common cocktails and wines
  • Any previous experience with prepping or cooking food commercially is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Good time-management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Spanish culture and cuisine is a plus

Responsibilities

Battersea Spanish is looking for a Bar Staff who is fluent in Spanish and English to join our team for a permanent, part-time role. The position is onsite in Battersea, and the candidate must be able to engage with Spanish speaking customers and serve drinks and tapas in a traditional Spanish bar setting. The candidate should be able to work flexible hours, manage inventory and cash correctly, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area.
