OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and confident Bar Supervisor to lead evening operations at Smoke & Mirrors Comedy & Magic Theatre Pub, a unique live entertainment venue in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a vibrant, performance-driven environment. This role is all about creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while managing and motivating a young, energetic team.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bar supervisory role within hospitality
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, especially younger staff
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock and cash management
• Essential: cellar management experience
• Friendly, approachable, and confident in customer-facing situations
• Experience in live entertainment or busy hospitality venues is desirable but not essential

• Lead and supervise bar operations during evening shifts (Thursday–Saturday, 4pm–12:30am)
• Provide exceptional front-of-house service, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued
• Manage cellar operations, stock control, and ordering to maintain efficient service levels
• Cash up and complete end-of-night reporting accurately and on time
• Train, support, and motivate team members to uphold venue standards
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations and high-quality customer experience
• Maintain compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and hygiene regulations
• Optional: Monday delivery shifts for additional hours
