BAR SUPERVISOR

The Boiler Shop represents a versatile, state of the art venue, and is easily adaptable for multiple uses – from intimate gigs to headline rock concerts and banquets to seminars.
Due to the growing popularity in events at Boiler Shop, we are looking to expand on our staffing calibre. We are searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our Food & Beverage Team working at the Boiler Shop on an event driven basis.
This will include evening and weekend work. Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for team players that can make a positive contribution to the overall customer experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Typical Duties

  • To assist the Bar Manager in the effective running of the Hospitality department, ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining an exceptional standard of delivery and professionalism whilst achieving profitability in line with budgets.

Key areas of responsibilities

  • Driving Sales
  • Cash Handling, Stock Management and Waste Control
  • Setting and Maintaining Standards and Procedures
  • Leading the team

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • You are required to be 18 years and over, possess good customer service and communication skills with previous or transferable experience of the above responsibilities.
  • Must be flexible and available to work up to 30 hours per week, which will be rostered over 4-5 days.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required or proof of transferable experience.
  • Be willing to learn and be an overall team player.
  • Have 1 years’ experience within Bars and/or Restaurant and 2 years within a customer facing role.
  • Have experience of delegation and running a small team in a busy and fast paced environment.
  • Be open and adaptable to change.

Job Type: Up to 30 hours per week, Permanent - Zero Hours Contract
Salary: Starting from £12.60 per hour depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Sunday, which will include evenings, weekends, and some Bank holidays.
