OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar team and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests at our stunning Pub, Lanty Slee’s Stickle Barn. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of service, overseeing bar operations, and fostering a positive work environment.
We produce our own Alcohol and have an incredible range of cask and keg beers on offer, we operate 4 venues in The Lake District and this role would suit a bar supervisor looking to prove themselves and take the next step into Bar Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in hotel settings is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels and Cellar Management.
  • Supervise and train bar staff, promoting teamwork and high service standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative drink menus while maintaining quality control.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and service, ensuring seamless operation between the bar and kitchen.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting regular evaluations to enhance team skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
