The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800’s AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences at The Elvetham, a stunning 4-star country house hotel.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As Bar Supervisor, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of our bar, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You’ll support the Bar Manager in leading the team, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with licensing and health & safety regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supervising bar operations and ensuring excellent guest service
  • Supporting and motivating the bar team during busy shifts
  • Creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests and regulars
  • Maintaining stock control and assisting with ordering
  • Ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and compliance are always up to standard
  • Assisting with training and development of team members
  • What we’re looking for
  • Previous bar or hospitality supervisory experience
  • A passion for food, drink, and outstanding service
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
  • A team player with a hands-on approach
