The Swan Inn is a busy and growing gastropub and Italian restaurant in the heart of Felsted, also known for our popular Sunday Roasts.
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, a welcoming atmosphere, and high-quality food and drink. With our current General Manager moving on, we’re looking for a dedicated Bar Supervisor to take charge of our vibrant bar and keep it running smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or in a similar leadership role
  • Strong product knowledge of beers, wines, and spirits (cocktail knowledge required)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional late finishes
  • Must be 18+ due to licensing laws

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Bar Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operation of the bar, ensuring great service, a friendly environment, and high standards in both presentation and efficiency. You’ll work closely with the front-of-house team and management to create a seamless guest experience while also keeping the bar stocked, organised, and compliant with all licensing laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise bar staff during service
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, a friendly personality focused on building relationships with customers in a professional manner.
  • Oversee bar cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and deliveries
  • Train and support team members in drinks preparation and service standards
  • Maintain compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards
  • Serve drinks, including beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks
  • Experience with making a wide range of cocktails.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and floor teams to ensure smooth service
