Description

We are on the hunt for an energetic Bar Supervisor (internally referred to as a F&B Supervisor) to grow and develop the bar's operation and offering. Initially opening Friday and Saturday nights, with Thursdays likely to follow, and running from 5pm till late. This is a hands-on role is all about building the atmosphere, creating events and excitement in the bar as well as running the day to day.

Key focuses will include: 

  • Bar operations: pricing, stock control, ordering, hands-on management, and maintaining the highest possible standard of customer service 
  • Marketing and promotion: working with Management, Marketing, and Activities teams to organise and coordinate activities and entertainment 
  • Team support leading and developing a small team as the property evolves 
  • Compliance: operating in line with the approved liquor licence, and managing security, WHS, and RSA requirements 
  • Menu and product development: leading the food and beverage offering in the outlet 
  • Collaboration: sharing ideas with Food & Beverage teams and other Bar teams across our network to keep our offering fresh and consistent 


 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Previous experience supervising in bars 
  • A genuine passion for wine, beer, and cocktails 
  • An understanding of P&L and COGS 
  • Experience supervising team members on shift and training new starters 
  • The ability to lead by example, build a strong team culture, and set the scene for high performance 
  • Experience in pre-opening and opening new venues (a bonus, not a must) 
  • A solid understanding of ordering and stocktake procedures 
  • Experience in cost control and working within an approved budget 
  • An innovative approach: fresh ideas for improving the business and driving sales 
  • Availability to work evenings across a Thursday to Saturday roster
